About MEGA Networking Events
MEGA Networking Events host casual, fun, semi-structured, speed-networking events throughout Illinois and Wisconsin; designed to bring Job Seekers and Employed Individuals of like profession and geographical location together, with the common goal of networking.
Studies show that only 12 to 15% of all new jobs are posted on the internet or in ads, while the majority of jobs are found through networking and knocking on doors. It just makes sense to network with others within your profession and geographical location.
MEGA Networking Events also host special interest events for business professionals. including; "Business Start-Up", "Business Owners", "Business On-Line", and "Web Development"; as well as "Microsoft Knowledge Exchange Events", that enable attendees to "Find a Mentor" and "Become a Mentor" for Microsoft applications, including (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point, and MS-Access.
All of our events include (structured speed networking time; open floor time to mingle; complimentary hors d' oeuvres; with cash bar available.) You can expect 24 to 50-Total Attendees at any event; and, expect to meet approx. 18 to 24-of them during the speed networking segment of the event.
Unlike trying to network on-line, where you can't see who your talking to, and it can take a lot of time to accomplish your networking goals; MEGA Networking Events offers a fast, simple, and direct approach to building your network.

HOW CAN I OBTAIN A "LIST OF EVENTS"?

obtain a list of up-coming events within your area, go to our

WHERE ARE EVENTS HELD? Events are held at restaurants, hotels, and
other public venues in your area.
WHAT DO EVENTS INCLUDE? All of our
events include (structured speed networking time; open
floor time to mingle; complimentary hors d' oeuvres; with cash bar
available).
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL I MEET? You can expect 24 to 50-Total Attendees at any event; and you can expect to meet approx. 18 to 24-New Contacts during the speed networking segment of the event.
WHAT IS SPEED NETWORKING?
Speed Networking is similar to speed dating. When you attend a networking
event, you'll have
4-minutes to speak with another attendee before a bell is rung, then you'll move
on to the next attendee; whom you'll also have 4-minites to speak with until the
bell is rung again, then you'll move on to the next attendee. (This format is
repeated 18 to 24-times during the speed networking segment of the event; giving all
attendees approx. 18 to 24-New Contacts for the evening.
It's fast, fun, and a very effective method to building your network.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE MY
PERSONAL CONTACT INFO. AT THE EVENT?
No, attendees have the option of (sharing or withholding) all personal and
contact information at events, with the exception of a name tag.
ARE RESUMES REQUIRED? Resumes are NOT required to attend events; bring them, or any other printed material to hand out is at your discretion. Please note: Having copies of a resume, or at least a brief bio including: 1) Your current networking objective. 2) What assistance you may have to offer others. 3) Business Card, is great to have on hand to quickly give to those you wish to network with, because during speed networking your time will be limited.
WHAT TIME OF DAY ARE EVENTS HELD? Generally most events are held weekdays, 6:00pm to 9:00pm; for exact scheduled times for specific events please refer to our "List of Up-Coming Events".
HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR AN EVENT? Registration information for each event can be found on our "List of Up-Coming Events", which includes (dates, times, locations, event code numbers, and registration information.)
CAN I ATTEND MULTIPLE
EVENTS?
Yes, you may register for any number of events as you choose, and we'll make
sure you don't meet the same people twice.
